And further, I wish it was longer to explore what it was once it did become what we all saw coming.įrom the dark side of the moon, to odd'a( yes believe it or not its called odda, how odd is that!!!) or some other highenergy industrial site in the steep and fossfaldy norwegian vestlands fiord, where an american man tries to find his ancesteries or ''finne attende til ættesoga'', as they would say in ''new''-norwegian, or as they said in the 19th century, the peasant language, that kvithers from the locals epyglothies in this film.
MORTAL ONLINE UOPILOT SCRIPTS MOVIE
*** Final thoughts: I just wish this movie hadn't taken SOOO long to become what we all saw coming. Incidentally and weirdly enough, THIS has better FX than that MCU movie. (No spoilers, but hint: It's my dead last worst MCU film.) So, yes, I liked this origin story better. This did take me to the final act before I appreciated it and it was a refreshing take on another story very similar that I actually liked less.

We're here for the stunning setting, FX that works more than when it doesn't and the mystery man who needs to learn why he's inadvertently able to cause havoc and death. It was definitely a Tell, Don't Show subplot. After he (intentionally?) kills a local boy and is arrested, he gets assigned said counselor and we "see" their relationship blossom without any, you guessed it, chemistry. But, then.the movie's over? He's also an occasional murderer buuuut, is the light of his eventual court-appointed counselor. This slow-burn (no pun) is about 90% "What's going on?" and 10% Oh, yeah! Now this makes sense and now I'm on board. He appears fairly injured, disorientated, lost and.powerful. Well, make that: the most beautiful landscape and surrounding areas that you'll ever see. Mercifully, that's only about 10% of the film, so it's easily overlooked. (Score, too, please.) Now, in the aforementioned (having) chemistry department, it gets an F. Let's get this out of the way first and foremost: This movie is absolutely gorgeous and should be nominated for Best Cinematography, if nothing else. But the most sacred part of the film was the love connection between a shrink and her thunder god. The sacred tree of Yggdrasil stands for everything that is holy. A lot of sparks fly in "Mortal." But the most poignant are those flying between the Eric and Christine.

There is even a nefarious American intel agent who is the villain. It is all great fun due to the tongue-in-cheek approach to the material. But the most spectacular scene occurred on the majestic Hardanger suspension bridge. A kind of Ragnarök ensues that serves as a cosmic battle. But as the action moves to its conclusion, it is clear that Eric is the spitting image of Thor.

At first, Christine thinks that Eric may be the second coming of Jesus. The most interesting relationship in the film was Eric's connection to the kind psychiatrist Christine, who had been assigned to interrogate him. He is especially adept in turning on and off the spigot of rain. But Eric survived with supernatural electrical powers to either destroy or heal. Eric Berglund was on the scene of a tragic fire that took several lives. Is he Rain Man? Or, is he Radioactive Man? This well-photographed Norwegian film depicts the return of Thor in the contemporary world. Not a troll hunter, but a superhero hunter (maybe) interesting character study with quite a lot of special effects. There is value in this and there is fun to be had (especially considering the blockbusters we may have watched the last couple of years). While the ending may not be entirely surprising, the fact that some feel this is just a stepping stone to a sequel is also a fair argument. But if you power through it, the movie will give you something at least interesting to watch. Actually it is the opposite of appealing. Now I understand that the slow burning (ok you knew that had to come, still no pun intended) nature of the movie may not be appealing to the masses. or is there something wrong with him? Well since he gets really hot (no pun intended, you may like him and his of course), there is something to be found out. what would you do? Our main character here seems adament to find out what is wrong with him.
